we may be going to a club for halloween but arent quite sure what we would like to go as. i dont want to do a typical outfit like everyone else (sexy nurse, cat, devil, bunny, etc) but would like something a little more creative. any suggestions??

here are some ideas we are playing with:

cowboy and cowgirl
married cousins from the south (funny, but not too sexy)
pimp and ho (me as the pimp, Y as the ho. again, not so sexy for either of us, unless you are into cross dressing, i suppose.)
good cop, bad cop
and our favourite, a cowboy (for him) and an indian girl (for me)

ive always wanted to be a banana for halloween, but that wouldnt be sexy at all. phallic, yes. sexy, no. while i was searching for costumes i found one website that sold a plug and outlet costume for couples. i thought it was funny, but didnt want to pay over $100 for it. so any suggestions would be appreciated!

i wish we had made it out for the thai dinner to be able to get to know M&B outside of the club and so that we would have a specific place to meet them...i was starting to worry that we would not recognize them when we got to the club!

when we got to the door and paid to get in, we spotted them right away. they actually looked like their pictures (which is rare for this world) and were sitting on a couch on the sidelines, holding onto each other and watching the fun around them.

we walk up to them and i suddenly feel a little silly for canceling on them, and then showing up anyway.

"are you M&B?" i ask

"yes! you guys made it!" B responds excitedly

"yeah, we got in a little fight over the phone, but we worked it all out when we saw each other in person. we dont usually stay mad for long" Y replies

"good! from what i know about you guys, it seems like you are very much in love and i had a feeling you were going to work things out quickly and make it tonight"

(Y and i can be one of those "mushy" couples that are constantly holding onto and kissing each other...and making other people sick. i used to dislike those couples, but now that im on the flipside, i like it!)

we have a pretty good conversation with them, even though we are at a loud club. we found a spot on a couch away from the dance floor and talked for about an hour. they were both very easy to get along with and didnt seem crazy, which is always good. i thought they were both pretty cute, but was again more attracted to the girl (B) than the boy (M). They were new to this whole world, but still seemed very enthusiastic and eager to try it out instead of being shy and introverted, which i liked.

after an hour a salsa song came on and Y and i decided to go try out our "skills" on the dance floor so we excused ourselves from M&B. Y let me know that he wasn't HUGLY attracted to B, but they seemed like a great couple and he wouldnt mind fooling around with them. i agreed. Y told me to go ask them if they wanted to go upstairs with us and i start to get nervous. im so terrible at making the first move!

"common baby. we are never going to get any couples if you are so scared to make the first move or to approach them all the time! women are the ones that have to make the moves in these situations"

its true. women run swing clubs and they make all the calls. unfortunate for shy little me.

i see M&B dancing across the club and i get really nervous.

"what do i say to her? hey, do you guys think we are cute enough to get it on with? yes? alright, lets go upstairs and fuck??" i ask, getting a little defensive as i always do when im faced with something i dont want to do.

"sure! say whatever you feel comfortable saying baby. just do it soon, it's getting late"

damn.

we dance for a while longer and i decide to go to the washroom, pretty up a bit and talk to them right after that.

when i flush and walk out of the stall, B enters the washroom. maybe they were talking about the same thing and she followed me in to talk...

we make small talk while shes in the stall but when she comes out there is a brief silence between us as she washes her hands. its awkward and im nervous and at that moment i am so glad that i have found the person i want to be with for the rest of my life so that i dont have to go through this dating thing seriously anymore and remind myself that this is just for fun with another couple. we arent asking them to marry us!

i break the silence, "so you guys are having fun here, i hope"

"of course! its very exciting. and how could we not have fun with a great couple like you two?"

thats my green light.

"so, were you guys thinking of venturing upstairs at all tonight?"

"we were talking about it, and we arent too sure..."

"well, Y and i were just talking and we were thinking of heading up shortly, but would really like for you two to join us... if you're up for it"

she smiles slyly and says "i think we may be up for that."

"good" i smile back "you guys are brave, it took me three times of coming here before i got the courage to go upstairs!"

"well, you guys make us feel very comfortable" she says as she grabs my hand. "common, lets go tell the boys" and we rush out of the washroom together...

we chatted with the new, slightly boring couple a little bit more and decided to meet them. they were a tad dry, but they seemed to want the same things as us (happy with oral and not going "all the way" with each others partner) and i really liked the idea of teaching them a little bit about the swinging world. we talked about meeting them at the club, but decided against that since we had met another couple there before and it was hard and awkward to talk to them and get to know them over the loud club music.

we made plans to meet them for dinner first. if we hit it off we could proceed to the club from there, if we didn’t hit it off, we could make up a lame excuse to cut the night short.

i was excited for two reasons:
1) we really seemed to be hitting it off with this couple.
2) we were going out for thai food. one of my favourist of foods. (yes i said "favourist")

i had to go out for a while beforehand and about 3 hours before we were supposed to meet with M&B, IT happened. Y had called me on my cell phone and we got in a fight. when Y and i fight, we dont really scream and yell at each other. we get mad then i usually cry and we both give each other the silent treatment until we cool off and can talk civilly about whatever we may be fighting about. (if i remember correctly, this fight was about pulley systems...really, dont ask)

we hung up on each other. i was pissed. he was pissed. when i finally made it home, Y was napping in the bedroom and i messaged M&B:

me: hey guys...i hope you get this soon...im sorry for the short notice, but we have to cancel for tonight. its nothing to do with you..we had a bit of a fight and are not really in the frame of mind for this tonight. im afraid we wouldnt be much fun. im really really sorry and hope that we can re-schedule for another night. you should head to the club without us still though. its a good time. hope we can talk soon

M&B: No worries guys, we are still going to check out the club. We will probably go to the thai restaurant too. if you guys felt up to it come out, if not we will talk to you later and hook up another date to meet. Try to have a good night!

i went to nap on the couch. i was woken up an hour later by Y trying to fit on the couch to snuggle up with me. we hate being mad at each other for too long. we talked out the problem and made up and kissed. And kissed.

After a while we decided to see if we could at least still make it to the club to meet M&B...
